The Mutt’s Nuts

Where religion is about as attractive as a two week holiday in Afghanistan

Pat Condell on Geert Wilders’ Fitna & Islam

with 6 comments

Having been a fan of Pat Condell for quite a while now, I have to say that he hits a bullseye with his latest video: Religion of Fear. It’s refreshing to find somebody who’s willing to speak his mind without fear of retribution and, as a matter of fact, echo my own inner thoughts on the matter. I wish that he would run for Parliament ‘cos I would back him all of the way.

On a related note, I find the news story of the Muslim bus driver who insisted that the passengers on his bus get off while he prays completely ridiculous. Religious observance shouldn’t give anybody an automatic right to do as they wish at the inconvenience of others.

  1. Yeah, how about that story of the muslim bus driver?! What a freaking nutjob. He takes a job knowing he’ll have to stop with a load of passengers, so he can make them wait. Yeah, let’s have more of these freaks hired into service jobs – that ought to work out well. Sheesh.

  2. It seems you insists on peeking up some instances to prove your nonsense views. However, you should read and understand about a thought before fighting it. Can you tell me why do you think Islam is a “religion of fear”!! If you judging it based on what media shows you, I can show you more of such instances of the followers of other religions and atheists.
Atheism is a dead idea that belongs to the era of 18-19th centuries. It has proven to be more dangerous to human kind than racism!

  3. My friend,
I don’t know about the bus problem. But I do not judge people for their religion or color or race . . .If a person did something wrong that’s his/her problem. You see bad people are every where and good people are too. So if some one choses instances of bad people to prove that all other people from that religion or race is bad, this is neither true nor fair.
For example, I know there are some extremists among Moslems, and I condemn them as I condemn any other bad action. I do not support them because they are Moslem. If we do otherwise, we will end up being racist!
I would be glad if you read and make a comment on my posts. We have a good discussion going on between people from different religions. We think and believe that we have more commons than differences!

  5. The reaction of people on this matter is a pure reflection of how they have been brainwashed. The mind is not functioning critically any more. Quiet contrary – it is set up to undoubtedly believe that the media is a holiest primary source of any information.

  6. Apparently the story of the praying bus driver was fake. The bus had broken down and while the people waited to get on another bus having alighted from the first, the driver took the opportunity to pray. The use of the photograph was opportunist to grab headlines and sell papers…so lets stick to facts. No one needs to resort to this level to show the downside of dogma and religious indoctrination but this guy was apparently just doing his ‘thing’ and not doing anyone any harm at the time
